2020 Election: Trump Pleads “Not Guilty” In Court

Ex U.S President, Donald Trump, has pleaded “Not Guilty” to charges levelled against him relating to an attempt to steal the 2020 election.

Trump made his appearance at the courthouse at 4pm on Thursday evening

This comes after the business tycoon was arrested and arraigned in court for the 3rd time in 4 months.

Trump had, earlier, called for the trial to be moved from Washington, D.C., which was more Democratic concentrated, to a more Republican-friendly state like West Virginia.

Speaking via the Truth social, which he owns, Trump opined that, “This Indictment is all about Election Interference!!!”

The leading Republican party Presidential Candidate is facing four criminal charges relating to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

They include: Conspiracy to defraud the United States and; obstructing an official proceeding – the latter charge haven already successfully been brought against rioters who breached the Capitol.

The other charge brought by the prosecutors relies on a Reconstruction-era civil rights law that prohibits conspiracies to deprive a person of their rights – in this case, “the right to vote and have one’s vote counted.”
