… After Failed Attempt to Arrest The Former FCT Minister

THERE was an attempt to arrest former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, on Thursday. His Media Adviser, Muyiwa Adekeye has alleged.
According to Adekeye, security agents attempted to arrest El-Rufai upon his arrival on a flight from Cairo.
The media aide to El-Rufai said that the one-time Governor of Kaduna State declined to accompany the agents without a formal invitation.
Adekeye however, noted that security agents later took El-Rufai’s passport from one of his aides at the airport.
“Security agents today attempted to arrest Malam Nasir El-Rufai as he arrived on a flight from Cairo.
“Malam El-Rufai declined to follow them without a formal invitation. They however snatched his passport from an aide.”
