LIVERPOOL has made an improved but unsuccessful bid for Southampton defensive midfielder, Romeo Lavia.
The latest bid was first called by Mellissa Reddy on Sky Sports on Monday evening.
The bid is worth £45m inclusive of add-ons.
The bid has, however, been rejected immediately by Southampton.
It is believed that the club value the player at £50m and no less.
Liverpool will now have to up their offer to meet the club’s valuation or walk away from negotiations.
