Peter Obi Berates Nigeria For Neglecting Niger Delta Region
THE 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has lamented the rising level of poverty in the Niger Delta region, stressing that Nigeria has “failed” them.
The Ex Governor of Anambra state expressed this on Tuesday while officially presenting the Labour Party flag to the party’s governorship candidate in Bayelsa State, Udengs Eradiri, at a town hall meeting in Yenagoa, the state capital.
Obi asked residents of the state to ensure they scrutinize the campaign promises the candidates of the upcoming November 11 Ebonyi State governorship will make to them.
The LP leader was giving a hero’s welcome at the event.
Bayelsans turned up in large numbers to witness the reeling of the manifesto of the party’s governorship candidate, Eradiri.
Eradiri, on his part, touched on the many benefits residents of the state will enjoy if he secures their mandate at the coming polls.
The highlight of the event was the commissioning of the Labour party’s campaign Secretariat in the Bayelsa and the presentation of the party’s flag to its flagbearer in the state, Eradiri.
