“One Chance” Victim Dies as Abuja General Hospital Refuses To Treat Her
THE Maitama General Hospital in Abuja has come under severe criticism after a lady, Greatness Olorunfemi, was refused medical aid by the hospital following a robbery incident.
The incident popularly referred to as ‘One Chance’ occured on Friday night.
According to eyewitness, the lady unsuspectingly got into a bus which belonged to robbers.
The robbers took all her possessions, stabbed her and pushed her off the moving vehicle around the Maitama-Kuba expressway.
Bystanders rushed the victim to the Maitama General Hospital for medical aid but, according to them, the nurses on duty declined assisting, claiming they have their reasons.
The doors of the hospital were firmly shot behind the victim and the good Samaritans as portrayed in a video made by the bystanders.
The issue has taken the internet by storm, with many users on X (formerly Twitter) slamming the hospital for such outrageous handling of the case.

“Greatness Olorunfemi was pushed out of a moving car and brought to Maitama General Hospital, Abuja. But instead of receiving the care, they rejected her and she died.”
Efforts to reach the management of Maitama General Hospital has proved abortive.
As of time of filing this news report, The Nigerian Police and relevant agencies are yet to release an official statement regarding the matter.
