Ododo Sworn-in as Kogi State Governor

 Ahmed Usman Ododo has been sworn-in as the new Governor of Kogi State.

Ododo took the oath of office as the fifth democratically-elected Governor of the State.

He was sworn-in by the Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi, at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, the State capital at exactly 2:27pm.

His Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, had earlier taken his turn at 2:18 pm amid cheers from a mammoth crowd of personalities and well wishers.

President Bola Tinubu was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Ododo succeeded former Governor Yahaya Bello, who spent eight years in office, representing the ruling All Progressives Congress – APC.
