THE first civilian Governor of Yobe State, Bukar Abba Ibrahim has died. He was 75-year-old.
Abba Ibrahim passed away on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, where he received medical treatment.
His death was confirmed by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni.
According to a statement by Governor Buni’s Director General of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, the former Governor will be buried in Saudi Arabia.
The late Abba Ibrahim was married to a serving lawmaker, Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, the member representing Gujba, Gulani, Damaturu, and Tarmuwa Federal Constituency.
The deceased himself, was a former Senator representing Yobe East district.
