Two Bus Passengers Thrown Into Lagoon

Lagos Territorial Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency – NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the incident.
Farinloye said that the impact of the accident threw the passengers, both adults, off the 18-seater bus into the lagoon.
He noted that personnel of the Marine Police are conducting a search for the passengers, whom he described as a male and female.
The NEMA official disclosed that the crash, involving the bus with registration number FKJ 872 YA, occurred by Adeniyi Adele axis inward of Lagos Island.
He explained further that the driver of the speeding vehicle swerved off the road and hit the bridge rails.
“The victims, an adult male and female, are being searched by the Marine Police,’’ Farinloye said.
“The injured have been evacuated to a nearby hospital,” he added.
