FORMER Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has rejected the outcome of Saturday national assembly elections held in Kwara state.
Abdulahi was not alone. He was joined by other PDP senatorial and House of Representatives candidates in rejecting the results.
The former Sports Minister of Sports, who was a PDP senatorial candidate, lost to Mallam Saliu Mustapha, a former APC national chairmanship aspirant.
Abdullahi said the preliminary review of the results “shows substantial irregularities and manipulations that are inconsistent with the provisions of the electoral law.”
Meanwhile, the PDP in a statement Monday night, promised to challenge the result in court.
The party however, urged its members to remain calm.
