Lassa fever is presently raging in Nigeria and has killed over 151 people. Contrary to the previous report from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention
that 148 persons have died, it appears the numbers are on the increase .
Now the Lassa fever situation report, has shown that a total of 869 confirmed cases recorded from 26 states and 101 local government areas from January 1 to April 9, 2023.
As at the time of filing this report, a total of 4,555 suspected cases were recorded during the period under review.
