You Are Not Too Old to Be What You Want To Become

Vera Wang aspired to be an athlete but failed to qualify for the 1968 Olympics figure skating team. She worked at Vogue and became the youngest editor, but she wanted to be more. Unfortunately, she didn’t get as high as she wanted in journalism.
Vera decided to try something different, and she started working in the fashion industry with Raphael Laurent, nevertheless she wasn’t satisfied.
She wanted to be a fashion designer and she didn’t start designing wedding dresses until she was 40.
Today Vera is one the biggest brands in the fashion industry and she is a typical example of a person whose dreams became a reality later in life.
Today, she is huge in the fashion realm with a business worth over one billion dollars. She has won many awards and Vera even became successful in the jewellery designing business!
It doesn’t matter how late you start in life. It doesn’t matter how many opportunities you have lost or how many times you have failed. Once you see another path opening up for you, grab it. Age means nothing.
It doesn’t matter how or when you start. Just start walking. Begin. It might seem hard, or you might be filled with fear. But be courageous, even when it hurts you inside, persevere. Just take the first step, move slowly, do it without fear until you get there!
May the odds favour you this week!
