Chelsea Reveals 2023/24 Squad Numbers
STRIKER Romelu Lukaku’s name was conspicuously missing as Chelsea FC revealed the jersey numbers for their squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.
This was displayed on the club’s official website Chelseafc.com on Tuesday morning.
Notably, January marquee signing and World Cup winner, Enzo Fernandez, has now dropped his previous ‘5’ to take up the number 8 shirt.
Fellow big money January signing, Mykhailo Mudryk, will now wear the iconic Number 10 shirt.
High-profile recruit and in-form forward, Christopher Nkunku, will wear the number 18.
Striker, Nicolas Jackson, will now wear the number 15 jersey.
Also worthy to note is that the legendary number 26 jersey hitherto worn by Chelsea Legend, John Terry, during his playing days, will now be worn by the highly rated Chelsea academy player, Levi Colwill.
Colwill’s future was one that dominated much of the summer transfer window, with former on-loan side, Brighton, and other suitors, like Liverpool, chasing the Centre back.
