Tuchel Apologises to Kane Over Bayern Super Cup Loss
Bayern Munich Head Coach, Thomas Tuchel, has apologized to the club’s new signing, Harry Kane, following their Super Cup Loss to Leipzig.
The Bavarians surprising lost 3-0 in the German DFB Pokal Super Cup on Saturday evening.
A hattrick from Dani Olmo condemned Bayern to an embarrassing defeat.
Bayern Munich’s new signing, Kane, made his debut for the Bavarians in the second half, but his best efforts were still not enough to get his team back into the contest.
Tuchel has now issued an apology to the striker in light of the loss.
“I’m just sorry for Harry Kane, he probably thinks we haven’t trained for four weeks,” Tuchel apologized.
The German tactician lamented his side’s disgraceful showing, while noting that the performance and their training towards the contest are on opposite ends.
“Our performance today had nothing to do with what we set out to do.
“It’s a very bitter evening, I’m sorry,” the Manager said.
Harry Kane will hope this loss is a mere blip in the road as Bayern kickstarts the new Bundesliga season next weekend with an away match to tricky opponents, Werder Bremen.
