The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, has mandated students to wear bra and pants during their stay on campus.
The arm of the Students Union Government made this known in a statement signed by the council’s representative, Sulaiman Adedamola.
According to Adedamola, students who fail to comply with this directive will be sanctioned.
He stressed the need for this in light of indecent dressing on campus.
“It is absolutely essential that you wear pants and a bra while on campus.
“This is not a suggestion, it is a requirement.
“If you do not comply, you will face the consequences and may face disciplinary action.
“Please respect your fellow students and the rules of the school by wearing appropriate clothing at all times,” the statement read.
The circular comes after growing concerns by the students’ body that female students hitherto appear on campus without wearing bra or panties underneath their dressing which amounts to indecency.
