Nigerian Army Rescue Another Chibok Girl
THE Nigerian Army has revealed that another Chibok school girl abducted by Boko Haram in 2014 has been rescued by its troops.
This was disclosed by the Theater Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi.
According to him, troops of Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command rescued the Chibok Girl identified as Mary Nkeki.
Chibuisi revealed that Mary was rescued on August 14 together with her ‘repentant’ insurgent husband, identified simply as “Adam.”
The rescue mission, he disclosed, was carried out by troops of the 81 Task Force Battalion at Dikwa axis during an operation into the terrorists’ stronghold.
“She is on serial number 55 of the abducted Chibok girl list. Now 27 years old. Kibaku by the tribe.
“While in captivity, she was forcefully married to one Adam, a Boko Haram terrorist.
“Since her rescue, she has undergone thorough medical examination in our medical facility. Equally, she has been adequately resuscitated and will be handed over to Borno state,” Maj. Gen. Gold Chibuisi stated.
The Chibok girl has now been handed over to the Borno State Ministry for Women Affairs officials.
Mary already has 2 children for her husband, Adam, who has been moved to a camp designated for ‘repentant’ Boko Haram terrorists.
