Roma, Chelsea Agree Deal For Lukaku
Italian side, As Roma has agreed a deal with Chelsea for Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku.
The season long loan deal was agreed on Monday evening as called by Journalist, Matt Law..
Roma will pay Chelsea over £5m in loan fee for the controversial player.
Roma will also offset the entirety of Lukaku’s wages during his stay in Rome.
The player was, earlier, thought to be destined for Inter Milan.
The Inter hierarchy soon pulled south when they learnt the Belgian was in talks with Juventus.
Juventus then moved into the driving seat, but, rather than pay a fee for Lukaku, preferred, instead, for a swap deal with Chelsea involving their striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
The Blues, however, backed out of the player plus cash deal involving Lukaku as Juventus’ valuation of Vlahovic was deemed to high.
Following this move, the Belgian will now spend the 2023/24 campaign as a Roma player.
