Yahaya Bello Delivers 65 Vehicles in Fight Against Insecurity

THE Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has delivered extra 65 vehicles to the 21 local government areas of the state in a bid to tackle insecurity.

This much was disclosed to newsmen by The Director General (DG), Kogi State Special Task Force on Illegal Smuggling of Firearms and Other Related Offences, Elder Friday Sani Makama, on Friday.

The DG warned that anyone involved in the purchase of arms and ammunition, hiring of mercenaries and any other act capable of causing insecurity in the state, should discontinue or face the consequences.

He warned that Kogi state will never tolerate the activities of criminal elements or their ilk and that the security of citizens is paramount.

“Nobody would come into Kogi State illegally with the aim of causing violence and go Scot free.

“Kogi State can never be a haven for criminal elements before, during, and after the forthcoming election.

“That is the reason the present administration remains committed to protecting the lives and properties of its citizens,” Makama said.

Governor Bello has, in time past, reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring security in Kogi state and this move is viewed as a step in that direction.
