ENGLISH side, Arsenal FC, has been hit with a major injury to its star player, Bukayo Saka.
Mikel Arteta confirmed, on Tuesday, that the Englishman is down with a foot injury.
Saka went off injured in the dying minutes of his side’s 2-2 draw against London foes, Tottenham Hotspur, on Sunday.
The Winger will now miss Arsenal’s Carabao Cup third-round match against Brentford on Wednesday.
Saka is also a serious doubt for Arsenal’s English Premier League (EPL) tie against Bournemouth On Saturday.
“He was limping quite badly after the match. We had to get him off the field, which is never a good sign. He hasn’t been able to participate in the session,” Arteta disclosed.
It’s a possibility, yes,” Arteta replied when asked of Saka’s availability for the EPL game against Bournemouth by weekend.
Saka joins a growing list of injury casualties for the Gunners.
New signing, Declan Rice, hobbled off the field at half-time against Tottenham with a back complaint.
Wingers, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, were also unavailable for the tie through injury.
Fullback, Jurrien Timber, has long been out of action, as has Thomas Partey been, with the Ghanaian out with a long-term fitness issue.
