Bayern Munich Receives Manuel Neuer Boost
BAYERN MUNICH Goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, has returned to training on Monday, the club disclosed.
The German legend broke his lower right leg in December and has since been out of action.
“(He) has now taken the next step on the comeback trail,” the Bundesliga club said in a statement.
Neuer’s continuous absence had forced the Bavarians to recruit new goalkeeper, Daniel Peretz, from Israeli outfit, Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Peretz has signed a five-year deal with Bayern.
Neuer’s injury was so severe that he missed the majority of last season and the entirety of the present one till date.
Following his injury ordeal, many have asked for the Goalie to call it time on his career with the German national team.
Neuer, who boasts of 117 caps for the national team, has dismissed any retirement talk by pledging to return to the national fold now fit.
