Buhari became the President on the platform of the All Progressives Congress – APC, on May 29, 2015 and he was re-elected after winning his reelection bid.
He defeated his closest rival Atiku Abubakar, who is one of the leading contestants in this year’s elections.
Buhari’s tenure as president comes to an end onMonday, May 29.
The four leading candidates vying to succeed the president are Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian People’s Party.
