Rivers United beat Dreams FC of Ghana 2-1 in Uyo on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead through Abdul Aziz Issah five minutes before the break against the run of play.
Rivers United fought back, with Deputy Echeta equalising a minute after the hour mark.
Substitute Kazie Godswill scored the winning goal for Rivers United with the last kick of the game.
The Port Harcourt club finished Group C in second position with 12 points from six games.
Dreams FC topped the standings with the same number of points but enjoyed a better goal difference.
