Caicedo Skips Training, Forcing Chelsea Move
IT has been revealed that Brighton player, Moises Caicedo, intentionally skipped training sessions on Monday.
Reports say that the player has voiced his intention to Brighton to leave and join Chelsea.
Chelsea have long been in negotiations with Brighton for the Ecuadorian defensive midfielder. Their last bid for the player was worth £80m.
That bid was immediately rejected by Brighton and Hove Albion.
Brighton value the player closer to £100m
This stance has angered Caicedo, who had a gentle agreement with the club when signing his January contract, that any reasonable bid from a top club will be accepted.
The player feels the club are trying to price him away from a dream move to one of Europe’s top clubs with their unrealistic valuation.
Earlier, the club had released a statement that the player picked up an injury and was now given time off.
Those close to the club refute these claims, stating, instead, that the player missed their last friendly match and is now missing training in a statement to the club of his discontent.
Chelsea will see this as a good sign and one that eases negotiations with Brighton, who are famed for squeezing huge transfer fees from opposition players looking to price away their players.
