CHELSEA will miss the services of Midfielder, Carney Chukwuemeka, for more than one month due to a knee injury he suffered at the weekend.
The player underwent surgery on Monday.
Chukwuemeka will now be out for 6 weeks following the injury he picked up for Chelsea in their London derby against West Ham on Sunday.
The player scored his club’s equalizer, but came out worse from a collision in the dying embers of the first half and had to be stretched off.
Chelsea eventually lost the encounter 3-1 despite West Ham going a man down due to the red card.
Chukwuemeka will now miss the games against newly promoted Luton Town, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, among other fixtures.
His loss will come as a blow to Head Coach, Mauricio Pochettino, with the player haven been a main fixture in the Argentine’s lineups.
