REAL MADRID has verbally agreed the signing of Chelsea Goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The deal was called by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Saturday evening.
The deal is on loan for the 2023/24 La Liga season.
The Spanish side have an ‘option to buy,’ rather than an ‘obligation to buy’ clause inserted in the deal.
The move comes as a shock to German side, Bayern Munich, who were sure of securing the player’s signature after days of negotiations.
The Spaniard had a rethink in last 24hes after Real Madrid reached out to him and agreed personal terms.
Real Madrid were forced to move for a new Goalkeeper after first choice, Thibaut Courtois, was stretched off injured in training days ago.
The Belgian shotstopper tore his ACL and is set to miss the entirety of the upcoming season.
Kepa is now set to travel in order to complete medical tests ahead of his signing.
