Court Orders Investigation of Minister’s WAEC Certificate

THE academic qualification of a minister in Nigeria is to be scrutinized after a court in the West African country granted a request by an activist.
Social crusader, Emorioloye Owolemi, had approached the court, seeking an order that would grant him permission to investigate the academic qualifications of Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Owolemi specifically wants the inquiry to focus on the Secondary School Certificate allegedly issued to Tunji-Ojo by the West African Examination Council, WAEC.
The activist predicated his request on the ground that there were discrepancies in the minister’s academic claims.
