THE government of Edo State has moved the office of the state’s Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, away from the Government House.

The news was disclosed by the the Edo State Commissioner of Information, Mr Chris Nehikhare.

Nehikhare confirmed that Shaibu’s new office is located at No.7 Dennis Osadebey Avenue, withing the Government House environs.

The move follows the ongoing tension between Shaibu and the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Only recently, AfriqueCan ran the news of how the Deputy Governor walked out of a state-organized event, even as his media team were barred entry into the hall, with Obaseki and other dignitaries present.

The newly allocated office of the Deputy Governor was formerly occupied by the state public procurement office which was commissioned by a Ex Edo State Governor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole.
