FORMER Minister of Power, Sale Mamman has been arrested over alleged N22bn fraud.
Mamman was arrested and detained on Wednesday morning by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC.
He is alleged to have conspired with staff of the Ministry in charge of the accounts of the Zungeru and Mambilla Hydro Electric Power projects and diverted N22billion.
The investigations have also uncovered properties in Nigeria and overseas linked to the suspects, while millions of naira and United States Dollars have been recovered.
Mamman was appointed by the Buhari administration in August 2019 and was dismissed in 2021.
