… Keyamo Reveals, Says ”I have called for the report”
THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC, is investigating former Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Hadi Sirikaover, over the controversy surrounding the Nigeria Air deal.
Current Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this on Wednesday.
“The EFCC is investigating that deal. There is a criminal investigation going on. I have called for the report,” Keyamo said when asked about the controversial deal while featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
The Minister said on the same TV show, that no local airline would be designated as a national airline, adding that “we will establish a proper national carrier.”
It would be recalled that in August 2023, Keyamo suspended the whole arrangement to allow for an audit of contracts after faulting the deal by Sirika.
The Nigeria Air was launched by former President Muhammadu Buhari, just days before the end of his administration.
