THE Three Lions of England recorded an emphatic 3-1 victory against Scotland in their Tuesday night friendly.
A 32nd minute opener from Phil Foden saw England on their way to victory in the fixture at Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland.
The goal went through the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) before it stood.
Next, in-form Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham, made it two for England 3minutes later.
Scotland had a penalty shout in the 37th minute but VAR upheld the initial call of the onfield referee–no penalty.
England, thus, took a commanding 2-0 lead going into the interval.
In the second 45, England controlled the Lion’s share of possession but were undone by an own goal by substitutute, Harry Maguire, in the 67th minute, giving Scotland hope of a fightback.
Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, then ensured England extended their lead by 2goals with his left footed strike in the 81st minute, Jude Bellingham turning provider this time.
Scotland provided little in way of a late comeback and England saw out the game, 3-1 in favour of the visitors.
