Enugu Governor Meets Tinubu, Seeks Nnamdi Kanu’s Release
ENUGU State Governor, Peter Mbah says the release of secessionist Nnamdi Kanu will engender President Bola Tinubu’s ‘national healing process.’
Governor Mba met with Tinubu in Abuja on Thursday, asking the president to consider setting free the self-acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra – IPOB.
Mbah told journalists after meeting with the President that Kanu’s release will be a way of extending the hand of fellowship to the South-East people by the new administration.
‘’You know, that the South East has made a collective demand to have Nnamdi Kanu released and we basically identified with that and request Mr. President, who in his inaugural address promised the people that he’s going to engender national healing and he’s going to serve with compassion,’’ the Enugu State Governor said.
“So, we’ve basically informed him that this would serve as a pointer to his administration’s extension of hands of fellowship,” he added
