SEVEN former members of the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP, State Working Committee in Imo State have joined the All Progressives Congress – APC.
Their defection comes barely 24 hours after they resigned and denounce their membership of the PDP.
Led by Deputy Chairman, Martin Ejiogu, the former PDP officials, made this declaration during a courtesy visit to Governor Hope Uzodimma at the Government House, Owerri on Monday.
According to the new APC members, the decision to join the ruling party was based on the governor’s exemplary leadership style and good governance in the state during the last three and a half years.
The former PDP top officials pledged their support for the Uzodimma-led administration, while promising to support the governor’s re-election bid on November 11.
