MINISTER of the Federal Capital Territory – FCT, Nyesom Wike says former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili, did not play a fatherly role in the issues between himself and Governor Siminalayi Fubara www.AfriqueCAN.com

Wike, who spoke in Port Harcourt on Sunday, alleged that Odili was taking sides with Fubara against him.

The FCT Minister ”wondered why Odili was biased” against him, despite, according to him, all that he did for the former governor.

“In 2007 after he left office, he couldn’t come near power in the State because Amaechi was the governor then. He was gone! Like somebody said that God will use someone to lift up someone. When I came in as governor in 2015, I won’t use the word resurrected, but I brought him back to life,” Wike said.

Hours before Wike’s comments, Odili had openly praised Fubara for his great developmental strides in governance.

Wike was in Port Harcourt for a thanksgiving service organized for the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule.

The event took place at the Church of the Holy Spieventrit Anglican Church in the Rivers State capital.
