THE Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have been booted out of the ongoing under 17 AFCON 2023 tournament.
The Nigerians crashed out after losing 2-1 to Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals in Algiers.
The consequence is that the Golden Eaglets will not feature in the under 17 World Cup later this year.
Burkina Faso joined Sengal, Mali and Morocco as Africa’s representatives at this year’s tournament.
Aboubacar Camara scored a goal in each half of the match before Abubakar Abdullahi pulled one back for Nigeria.
