Harry Porter Actor, Michael Gambon is Dead

POPULAR British-Irish actor, Michael Gambon, has passed away.

The veteran Actor died on Thursday, a statement issued on behalf of his family revealed.

“We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon.

“Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia,” the statement read.

The Actor passed on at the age of 82.

Michael played the role of “Albus Dumbledore,” a headmaster of the fictional wizarding school Hogwarts in the famous Harry Potter series.

Gambon was born in Ireland, with his first stage appearance coming in “Othello” at the Gates Theatre in the Irish capital Dublin in 1962.

For his contributions to the entertainment industry, Gambon was knighted in 1998.

After news of his death broke, encomiums have come rolling for the great Actor.

Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, recalled how the brilliant actor had a corner named after him on the BBC show’s race track.

“I’m so sad to hear that Michael Gambon has died.

“He was hugely amusing, and such a tremendous guest, we even named a corner after him.” Clarkson lamented.
