I’m Successful Because I Failed Over And Over – Michael Jordan
I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed- Michael Jordan

“I am sorry Michael, you can’t make the team”.
“Why…coach you know I am good”.
He looked into his eyes and said to him “You are too short”.
He stood transfixed to a spot for minutes.
Michael’s eyes shifted to the side because he didn’t want the coach to see his tears.
He tried hard not to blink, his eyes was glazed with glassy layers of tears.
“I am truly sorry about this Michael but I can’t help you” the coach said casually and walked away.
He blinked his eyes and the tears dripped down his cheeks. Hurriedly, he used his left hand to clean it. He bit his lips tightly attempting to stop himself from bursting into tears.
Eventually, he picked up his bag from the locker room and rushed home.
It was unfortunate that nature had conspired with his head coach and he couldn’t do what he loved most.
However, Michael Jordon didn’t allow his failure to define him and despite his physical disadvantage he still held unto his dreams.
Michael Jordan pursued higher goals, he went to college and he finally made the college basketball team.
Eventually he won the NCAA championship in 1982 and from there he became one of the greatest basketball players ever.
Today, Michael Jordan is a legendary sports figure, but coaches weren’t always impressed with his talent.
He knew this and didn’t lie to himself.
Instead through extra hard work and dedication to the game he loved dearly, his name became synonymous with success.
“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
Obstacles shouldn’t stop you!
If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Map out a strategy on how to climb, go through it, work round or break the wall.
