JAMB Sets 140 a s Cut-Off Mark For Varsity Admission

THE cut-off mark for 2022/23 admissions into universities across the country has been set at 140 and above.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board – JAMB, made the announcement on Saturday in Abuja.

The Registrar of the board, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede also said that the JAMB had approved a score of 100 as the cut off-mark for polytechnics and colleges of education.

However, the JAMB Registrar said universities are at liberty to decide individual cut-off marks but no university will be allowed to admit any candidate who scores below the 140 benchmark.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has charged JAMB to maintain the sanctity of its examination at all times.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, David Adejoh, said that a compromised examination system will impact negatively on the nation’s workforce.
