THE Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kawu Yakassai, has been kidnapped in Kaduna.
The incident occured in his village in the Soba Local Government Area of the state at about 9pm on Friday
While reacting to the incident, the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, condemned the kidnap of the APC official.
The Governor made this displeasure known in statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Shehu.
He charged security agencies to hunt down the kidnappers and facilitate the swift release of the APC Official.
Governor Shehu moved to assure on the safety of lives and property of all residents domiciled in Kaduna state.
He mentioned that 7,000 vigilantes would be employed to boost the effort of regular security apparatuses in the state in a bid to ensure security.
