Liverpool Survives Wolves Scare, Wins 3-1

Liverpool came from a goal down to win Wolverhampton Wanderers in their English Premier League (EPL) clash at lunchtime on Saturday.

The Reds won 3-1 away from home at the Molineux Stadium.

Wolves took a surprise early lead in 7th minute through forward, Hee-Chan Hwang.

Wolves kept it neat and tidy to limit the threat of Liverpool and any possible equalizer.

Wolves should then have extended their lead in the 34th minute, but Matheus Cunha fluffed his lines in front of goal, much to the dismay of the home fans.

Despite a few half chances, Wolves remained resolute and kept their lead going into the interval.

2minutes after the restart, Lius Duaz missed a glorious chances to draw Liverpool level.

The equalizer finally came for Liverpool in the 55th minute, with star forward, Mo Salah, threading the ball for Cody Gakpo to score.

From then on, the game became pretty one-sided with Liverpool having the Lion’s share of possession and chances.

Their search for the deserved winner seemed far reaching at this point, with Wolves sitting deep and soaking all the pressure.

Liverpool’s defender, Andy Robertson, came to the club’s rescue, bagging the winner in the 85th minute, with Mo Salah, again, the Creator-in-Chief.

The glossing on the cake came for Liverpool in the 1st minute of second half stoppage time, with Harvey Elliot thinking he scored, only for the goal to be adjudged an own goal to Wolves’ Hugo Bueno.

The game dragged on for an additional time of 13minutes due to an earlier injury to Wolves defender, Craig Dawson.

Even that was not enough time for Wolves to stage a late comeback as Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners.
