Flag of Nigeria Designer, Taiwo Akinkunmi, Dies
The man who designed the flag if Nigeria, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, has been confirmed dead.
Son to the deceased, Akinkunmi Akinwumi Samuel, announced his death on Facebook on Wednesday.
“Life is indeed transient; I can say boldly you live a life with a landmark. Continue to rest on, my father! Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi (O.F.R) Great Man has gone,” the son of the deceased wrote on his Facebook page.
The deceased passed away at the age of 87.
It will be recalled that the government paid Akinkunmi 100 pounds when his design was selected as the Nigerian flag.
He holds the national honour of Order of Federal Republic (OFR), conferred on him by Former President Goodluck Jonathan.
