Mmesoma Seeks Forgiveness From JAMB

MMESOMA Ejikeme has asked for forgiveness from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board – JAMB.

Ejikeme admitted forging the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination – UTME, results after claiming that she had a score of 362 as opposed to her official score of 249, according to JAMB.

“I humbly seek your forgiveness for the mistake I made. I sincerely agree that I got the JAMB result from another portal. In the course of this, I lambasted JAMB; I apologise,” the 19-year-old said in a letter of apology that she read before the House of Representatives ad hoc committee on the manipulation in Abuja.

She claimed that ignorance played a significant role in her action while asking JAMB ‘’to temper justice with mercy,”.

“Words cannot describe the depth of pain in my heart. This is the first time I will be doing this, I have never engaged in falsification or any misdemeanour,” the teenager said.

JAMB has since withdrawn Ejikeme’s result. She has also been handed a three-year ban by the exam body.
