MOVIE REVIEW: Unseen: An Enthralling Crime Thriller

By Bolatito Adebayo

Unseen is a story of a cleaner in search of her husband who just returned from the prison. It’s a story of rage, revenge and vulnerability. Unseen is remake of Turkish series Fatma, and it is highly entertaining.

Although, there are some potholes here and there but the great acting with many turns and twist makes it absolutely enthralling.

I love the fact that this series generates tension, sustains it and gives its audience a worthwhile climax, just like any good crime thriller would.

Gali Mabalane is the star of this series, she breathed life into the lead character Zenzi, and she did it brilliantly. The protagonist is an unusual character in unexpected situations that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Apparently, Unseen is dialogue driven, the rhythm in the speech patterns and exchange is insanely mind-blowing.  The visuals tell a great story, audio perfect and costumes fantastic.

Despite all the glowing words I have for Unseen, I wasn’t quite impressed by how it ended but I hope that will be fixed as the series continues.  But overall Unseen is a MUST watch.
