Musa Omitted as Osho Gets Super Eagles Call

AFRIQUECAN: SUPER EAGLES captain, Ahmed Musa has been left out of the list of players invited for the friendly games against Ghana and Mali this month.

Musa, though unused throughout the Africa Cup of Nations – AFCON, captained the Super Eagles to the continental competition hosted by Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, Luton’s Gabriel Osho has been handed his first Nigeria’s call up.

Osho, who was born to Nigerian parents in England, will have the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles after agreeing to feature for the three-time African champions.

Another first-time invitee is Ihefu SC of Tanzanian star Benjamin Tanimu.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Nathan Tella and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Tyronne Ebuehi, Cyril Dessers, Wilfred Ndidi, and Sadiq Umar made a comeback to the team, players who featured at the AFCON dominate the team.

The Super Eagles will take on Ghana on March 22nd before playing Mali on the 26th of the same month as the team prepare for the World Cup qualifiers later in June when they face South Africa.
