THE strike action announced by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has commenced on Tuesday as planned.
The NLC had announced, on Thursday, August 31st, that it will embark on a nationwide strike action in regards to the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.
This decision was communicated through a communique released by the Labour Union’s President, Comrade Joe Ajaero.
Despite effort by the Federal Government to reach a resolution, the NLC stood resolute in its planned 2days warning strike.
Public services in the mega city were seen shut down in a video making the rounds on the internet.
The warning strike will now run through to Wednesday, September 5th.
