No Apology From British Government Over Obi’s detention – LP
THE British government did not apologise to Labour Party – LP, Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his detention by immigration officials at Heathrow Airport in London last week.
Head, Media and Communications of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Diran Onifade, in a statement Thursday, there was no such letter of apology from the UK Government in regards to the incident.
“We would like to state emphatically that we are not aware of any such apology, and have not issued any statement whatsoever, in that regard, Onifade said.
He noted that the LP has confidence in the ability of the British authorities to resolve the matter.
Onifade added that Obi and the LP/PCC have since moved on from the incident.
