THE Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah says president-elect Bola Tinu needs to immediately embark on a journey of making Nigerians feel whole again.
Kukah, who spoke while delivering his Easter message, urged Tinubu to avoid cheap talks and focus on fixing the country’s challenges.
According to the clergyman, the most urgent task facing Nigeria is not infrastructure or the “usual cheap talk” about the dividends of Democracy. Instead, he advised Tinubu to create opportunities and hope for the citizens.
He also lamented that social media has gradually become the conveyor belt for the diffusion and distribution of hate.
Kuka then urged the President-elect to cut off the chains of ethnicity and religious bigotry, adding that Tinubu needed to help Nigeria recover from the feeling of collective rape by those who imported the men of darkness that destroyed our country.
