FAMOUS Nollywood actor, Murphy Afolabi is dead. He was 49.
Afolabi’s sudden death threw Nigeria’s movie industry into a mourning mood after his demise was made public by his family.
The popular Yoruba actor died in the early hours of Sunday in his residence.
Veteran film director and producer, Tunde Ola-Yusuf confirmed the passing via his Facebook page on Sunday afternoon.“Rest in peace.
May God give the family and close associates the fortitude to bear the loss,” he wrote.
The late Afolabi celebrated his 49th birthday on Friday, May 5.
Murphy, who started his career with a movie titled ‘Ifa Olokun’ under Dagunro’s guidance, featured in and produced scores of others.
