LEGENDARY Nollywood Actor, Pete Edochie has called out some female actors over the spate of divorces in the industry.
Edochie, on Friday, called out Chioma Chukwuka, Tonto Dikeh and Ireti Doyle over their divorces.
“If you come to our Industry today, most of our ladies who got married 2- 3 years ago have all left their husbands,” Pete stated.
The Legend expressed surprise at the quick succession of divorce in the industry.
“I was shocked that Chioma Chukwa had left her husband, Ireti Doyle, Tonto Dikeh,” he disclosed.
Pete Edochie took time to remind the actresses of the marital vows taken in the alter.
He emphasised that marriage was no bed of roses and a concerted effort is needed in order to preserve the institution.
“You take a vow when you are going to get married for better or worse, not for better or out.
“You will always think it’s greener on the other side, that is the mistake we all make,” Edochie said.
On the 14th of January 2023, Ireti Doyle announced to the world she had divorced fellow Actor, Patrick Doyle.
Chioma Chukwuka Apotha’s divorce came much earlier, in September, 2022, but was kept under wraps by the celebrity.
The most protracted of those divorces was that of Tonto Dikeh, who got married to Olakunle Churchill in 2015 and divorced in 2017.
Churchill has since moved on, getting married to Gambian-born actress, Rosy, in 2019.
