Pochettino Unhappy Chelsea Players

CHELSEA FC Manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has issued a stern warning to players not ready to compete and fight for a spot.

The Argentine tactician sounded this note of caution on Friday.

According to him, “the door is open” for those unwilling to compete and give their all for the club.

“If they don’t want to fight for their place and feel part of the team playing or not playing, the door is open.

“My job is to be fair with everyone in the squad.

“You sign a player on an eight-year contract and after (that) he doesn’t run, is not involved, no commitment – is he going play?

That is our job. It’s our judgement,” Pochettino stated.

The former Tottenham Manager also reiterated the support he has from the board and how that helps his job.

“I have the support of the owner, I have the support of the sporting director, so far.

“They need to trust in our judgement.

“It’s not the people of social media, it’s our judgement,” Pochettino pointed out.

Pochettino’s words come after Chelsea have spent heavily on this year’s transfer market.

Players like Moisés Caicedo have joined–who cost an English transfer record fee of £115m.

It is the Manager’s hope, therefore, that the players acquired show their commitment and repay the faith the club has in them.
