BARCELONA returned to winning ways with 1-0 victory over Sevilla I’m La Liga.
The Catalans owe their victory to a Sergio Ramos own goal in the second half of the clash at Camp Nou on Sunday.
The stage was even more memorable for young Barca star, Lamine Yamal, who was a child mascot in 2016, accompanying Sergio Ramos onto the field for Real Madrid.
7years later and he was gracing the same football pitch as Ramos, with the latter now turning out for Sevilla.
Ironically, it was Sergio Ramos who gifted Yamal’s Barca the victory after turning in an own goal in the 76th minute.
Barcelona should have opened the score long before that, but Barca spurned many chances to go ahead early on.
A Joao Felix shot struck the crossbar in the 22nd minute of the encounter to prevent Barca going ahead in the first 45.
Next was Fermin Lopez, who missed a golden opportunity in the 39th minute after been teed up by the exciting Yamal.
The first half ended goalless.
The second half resumed with both teams matching themselves in a keenly contested duel.
The difference maker in the tie was the Ramos own goal that separated the tie.
Despite Sevilla’s push for an equalizer, the scoreline stayed the same, 1-0, advantage Barcelona, as they chart their course in the La Liga standings.
