RCCG Pastor, Afolabi Laoye Crowned New Soun of Ogbomoso
KINGMAKERS have installed Prince Ghandi Afolabi Laoye as the new Soun of Ogbomoso.
The installation took place on Friday in an event led by one of the Community’s Kingmakers, Areago High Chief Sobalaje Otolorin.
Following the installation ceremony, the reign of Prince Afolabi Ghandi Laoye as Soun of Ogbomoso officially begins.
The ceremonial installation will be followed shortly by the traditional rites.
AfriqueCan had previously gathered that a court order restrained the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde, from installing Pastor Ghandi Olaoye as the Soun of Ogbomoso.
The Kingmakers, however, hold that no court order has barred them from carryout out the installation ceremony.
Ghandi is a Businessman and Clergyman.
The new Soun is reported to have arrived Ogbomoso on a private helicopter.
He, however, touched down at Ogbomoso Grammar School before flying to the Palace.
